Our emotions don’t care about our rationality and put the rest in the body.
Just because we may know what the correct answer is, does not mean we still don’t have feelings to express.
I asked AI what it thought about this statement and here was its response.
“I think that’s beautifully said—and absolutely true.”
Emotions live in a different realm than logic. Even when we intellectually understand something—why someone acted the way they did, why a relationship ended, why a situation unfolded the way it did—our emotional bodies may still carry grief, anger, fear, or sadness. Knowing the “right” answer doesn’t automatically discharge the emotional energy built up in our systems.
In fact, sometimes our rational understanding can suppress emotional processing if we use it to bypass what we actually feel. The real magic often happens when we allow space for both—the clarity of mind and the rawness of heart.
